South Burnett Region Lifestyle

Wide Bay Burnett, South Burnett, life style

As Queensland's newest wine region, home to the State's biggest vineyards and 12 wineries and cellar doors the region is also home to two of Queensland's biggest inland waterways (Lake Boondooma and the Bjelke-Petersen Dam), the Jurassic-era Bunya Mountains and some of the most picturesque agricultural country you've probably ever seen.

This region promotes and nurtures its residing families with a considerable network of community groups that support the region’s health and youth services, disability and elderly care groups, sporting and recreation associations, hobby enthusiasts and kids’ programs.

The South Burnett Regional Council maintains the 6 regional public swimming pools, extensive libraries, functional parks (gym equipment attached to the park), art galleries and museums.
